Borscht or borscht, as they say in our country, is beetroot soup or soup. This recipe is very popular in Ukraine because it is rich in iron and antioxidants and has detoxifying properties. A MUST EXPERIENCE!

the components:

-1 onion

– 500 grams of beets

-1 carrot

-1 and a half tablespoons of tomato paste

-2 tomatoes

– 200 grams of white cabbage

– 1 potato

– 1 garlic clove

-3 teaspoons of sugar

-olive oil

Fresh dill

-100 grams green beans

– 500 ml water

-2 liters chicken soup

– Half a tablespoon of vinegar

-salt

-Pepper

How to prepare:

Carrots and beets are washed or cleaned and then cut into thin slices or grate. Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Scald the tomatoes, remove the peel and cut into cubes. Cut the cabbage into small pieces, and chop the green beans and potatoes into small pieces. Finely chop the garlic. Fry the onions in a little oil, then add the carrots and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the beets and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato paste, then mix and leave for two minutes.

Add 300ml of water over the tomatoes and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. In another saucepan, boil chicken soup. When it is ready, add the cabbage and cook for about five minutes, then add the green beans and potatoes and cook for about ten minutes. Combine the beetroot and vegetables over the soup and cook for five minutes. Turn off the heat and add the spices, then cover the lid and let it cool. Served with chopped dill and cream.
